One Step At A Time

On April 30th, our team set up a bake sale at 33 E. Congress to help raise money for the project. I am happy to report that it was a huge success. We were able to raise 95 dollars and sold out of the majority of our goods during the course of the day.

We took the money and donated 100 dollars on behalf of Columbia College Chicago to UNICEF’s water and sanitation programs in an effort to help provide children with clean water.

It was so rewarding for our team to be able to donate this amount of money to this cause despite some of the set backs we faced earlier. 100 dollars may only seem like a small amount, but it’s a start.

You can still help!

If you missed the bake sale but would still like to donate to UNICEF, visit our “How You Can Help” tab and follow the links!

A Different Way of Helping

Well our team reached a slight setback with our project. Unfortunately, the UNICEF tap project that we have been promoting up until this point was only active during the month of March.

However, not all is lost

While this is a bit of bad news, there is still hope! You can still donate to UNICEF here and know that your money is going to a great cause; helping to provide those in need with safe, clean drinking water, which, at the end of the day, is all that really matters right?

The UNICEF Tap Project

Unicef tap is nationwide campaign that has invited people to go without their phones to help children in need of clean water. This means that for every ten minutes that you don’t touch your phone, Unicef donors/sponsors will fund one day of clean water for a child in need. Just $1.00 can provide 1 day of clean water for a child in need.
